Weekend Happenings

Just like that, the weekend is over. I am currently eating ice cream out of the carton. Whether it's because tomorrow is Monday and I'm supposed to hate Monday or because I know starting tomorrow I have another strict week of eating and exercise ahead of me, I have no clue. All I know is this Drumstick ice cream is the freaking bomb. And it's almost gone.

By Sunday evening when I sit down to create my blog post for Monday I am both excited about sharing my weekend happenings and exhausted at the thought of sharing everything we crammed into two days.

So here goes nothin'.

Friday evening some of our best friends came in from out of town to stay with us for the weekend. I'm pretty sure our husbands are brothers.

Saturday we were up bright and early for the Color Me Rad Run. My first Rad run and I will totally do it again. So worth the massive amounts of cornstarch up my nostrils and the two shampoos it took to get the blue out of my hair.

Of course after a race you should probably consume beer. I heard that's how you refuel.
Saturday afternoon all was quiet all through the house, for those who raced were all lights out. After our recharging naps though we were ready to doll up and grab some grub.

Only to come home fat and happy to play Phase 10. We sound like a bunch of 70 year olds and I love it!

Sunday morning was my first time ever going to a designer launch at Target. If you only knew my #crazytargetlady friend, Laura. She is a trendy fashionista. She is in the know of all things stylish. And she is a diehard Target lover. Laura informed me months before when we planned this trip that she had to be at this launch. I was all in because what girl says no to Target? Little did I realize how serious she was about this. I had to set my alarm to be up before 7am so we could be first at the store. If you don't do well with math 6 comes before 7 and I haven't seen 6 in a very long time. We were reacquainted. I can't say that I'm still extremely fond of 6. I'll stick with 8, 9. But I am fond of my #crazytargetlady and I'll forever be thankful for those sweet moments with her. And seeing her in action ;)

If you haven't checked out the new 3.1 Phillip Lim collection at Target, you should. It's kinda awesome. I love that I was in the "know" on this one...that never happens.

  1. I totally fell into the Philip Lim hype and had to get a bag this weekend! When I went to my store and it wasn't sold out, I just had to be a part of it! ha ha

  2. Is it bad that I still don't know who this Phillip Lim is?? From after seeing a million pictures on IG yesterday I figured out that he is a designer, ha! LOVE that first picture! Hilarious!!

  3. You are so cute lady!
I love those race pictures too. One day I will do a color run, they look like a blast!
I have a week of strict eating and exercise ahead of me too. Woot woot for healthy living!

  4. I did a Color Me Rad race a couple weeks ago with my 6 year old. We had a blast! We are signing up for sure again next year.

  5. Just stumbled across your blog - the first things I noticed: the color run and beer. I think we have some things in common! Love it, definitely sticking around for more.

  6. Color Me Rad rocks! I had so much fun at the race. Nice to meet you, co-sponsor (Bonnie's blog).
