Candy Detox

This weekend was lovely! Just lovely! But I'm extremely glad Halloween is over and we can move on. I threw out all the junk in the house and Jon and I are starting this week with a clean slate of eating right. Mainly because our bodies are on sugar overload and we need to detox. Badly. I reverted back to something I used to do... meal plan. Sunday after lunch I snuggled up on the couch with all my recipes and a grocery list and planned away. This is something I learned from the Tone It Up program that I stay involved with.

Fail to plan, plan to fail.

That rings in my head constantly when I make bad decisions. "If only I had planned ahead I wouldn't be having this problem". And it's true. When you plan all of your meals and prepare the food ahead of time it's just as convenient as it is to grab chicken nuggets at Chick-fil-A. I created a chart that I can write out all of our meals on and put it on the fridge so it's easy to stay accountable and Jon knows what to eat and when.

I didn't finish filling out meal 3 because of leftovers are subject to change. And let me just quickly tell you that "Booty Call" does not stand for what you think it does. That is the Tone It Up term for a morning workout. I didn't fill that line out because I'm still not allowed to workout for 3 more weeks so that makes my eating healthy that much more important. I'm actually really looking forward to getting back into the gym once the doctor gives me the go ahead. The thought that I have a half marathon coming up in April and I can't run right now really freaks me out!

  4. I would love for you to share some smoothie recipes! I usually have SlimFast for breakfast, but about twice a week my husband makes us smoothies instead! YUM!
