Home Sweet Home

4.08.2014
If you know me at all you know I'm obsessed with flowers and sunshine. And bubble baths... cocktails... British accents... clothing. Okay well obvi the list goes on. But flowers and sunshine are up there in my top five favs! So to say I enjoyed this past weekend is an understatement. It was glorious y'all.

I said "peace out" to technology and helloooo to my front yard.
Owning a home is seriously amazing, but more challenging than I ever imagined. There are so many things to keep up with! I'm so glad we are working on the house we plan to raise children in, but sometimes I think it would be so much easier to rent and have someone take care of my landscaping free of charge. And then I work outside in my yard and remember how much I LOVE it and I think never-mind!

Y'all, I didn't lose my smile all weekend long. My cheeks hurt. And so does my back...

We dug out ugly bushes, laid stone, spread mulch, planted flowers, pressure washed, put up a fence and mowed. Bless I'm getting excited all over again!

Needless to say I love coming home and driving up to a pretty landscaped yard. It's SO rewarding!

Just a glimpse at home sweet home -aka- the dollhouse <3
There is lots more to do (always) but this will keep me happy for the next 7 days until I pass all the pretty flowers at Lowes and make a project for myself again :)

  12. I don't think I've ever really seen the outside of your house before. It's so super cute! I wish I had a green thumb, but I kill cacti. That does not bode well for any flowers....

  18. We worked in the yard all weekend and my arms are still sore from raking and pulling weeds, but it felt so good! Jordan mowed and there is just something about fresh mowed grass and pretty flowers that make a house look so much better. I'm with Pamela and Tamara! We should put that on our to-do list to visit each others houses!!
