Yesterday Saved Me From Depression

4.02.2014
What was that big yellow thing in the sky yesterday? It brightened up my world around me and made my skin feel all tingly and warm. I was starting to think I would hibernate into a world of depression. I know not to get completely used to it because it is April and the weather doesn't tend to stick to one plan, but 70 degree warmth was just a reminder... it's coming. Slowly, but surely.
lake, water, glass, sunrise, summer
lake, waffles, breakfast, bible, relax

I know Spring and Summer are approaching because my in-laws spent the first night of the season up at the lake! We switch off staying up there within our family so Jon and I usually end up staying once a week. Waking up to water like glass, waffles and Jesus time on the water makes my heart swoon!

Running, gear, color me rad, #1800minutechallnege, summer
I ran for the the first time outside! I prefer it so much more over the treadmill because the treadmill is hard on my knees (old lady talking) and doesn't hold my attention long. Outside I'm happy I'm outside to begin with and I'm distracted always (A.D.D talking). This run was my first workout for the #1800MinuteChallenge. (what's not picutred is the pitcher of Sangria and burger the size of my face I scarfed down afterwards). #don'tjudgeme.

Jon and I are coaching a kickball league with our church! We had our second practice yesterday and let me tell you something. Trying to get 1st and 2nd graders to focus on the sport of kickball after a long day at school is a challenge to say the least. But being outside with them, playing in the sun, rolling in the grass, singing "Mrs Mary Mack" 20 times over. Well, that's perfection!
outside, patio, furniture, modern

The hunt for patio furniture has begun! This is what I was hoping for, but much to my dismay, hubs said no. #dreamcrusher We waited last year because we knew everything would go on sale once Fall came around. Well they did. They went on super sale and sold out before we got there. I am not willing to wait another Summer to lose out again. Nope. Not happening!

These are signs greater weather is approaching. Soak it up! Cheers babes to sunshine, summer sippin' and all the Spring & Summer goodness in between!

  1. Sounds like a perfectly beautiful day!! Working out outdoors is MUCH more fun that working out indoors--indoors is way too boring for my tastes!

  9. The waffles, bible and coffee on that patio at the lake sound like PERFECTION. I ate a burger the size of my face last night too ;) I'm the same way, I definitely prefer to run outside for the same reasons. My knees are AWFUL! Love your running outfit by the way.
