Our Business: Before & After

5.06.2014
Friday and Saturday were spent revamping the outside of our building. Long story short, we bought this building on December 17th and started moving in right after New Years. We've been settled for months now, but the outside of the building was the last change to remain.

The previous business that was ran out of this building was a...... are you ready for it? .... really?

A used Jamaican clothing store. I know. Who the heck buys used Jamaican clothing? I think it was just a disguise and all they really did was smoke weed in the back. Seriously, we found their bowls.

Anyway, this is what they did to the outside of the building - AKA- what we have had to explain to customers for the last 3 months.

Black and neon green? I don't know why it still surprises me that someone who sold used Jamaican clothing would have such bad taste.
I was super jealous of his fun, so then dad let me ride. And got a little carried away...
He was supposed to stop at this sign so I could paint it. Turns out he told Jon to video me and he was going to extend the bucket truck as high as it could go. I figured something was going on once I passed the sign and looked over the edge at the two of those boys cracking up and the camera on me. I will not be sharing that embarrassing video. I squealed like a baby.

I call this revenge, hubs.
The sign going up. No more Jamaican Avenue!
Lastly, the guttering going up!

The orange dust on the blue is from putting the gutters up. It will wash off FYI.
We couldn't be happier with the finished product. We have a place that we own and have made ours. It looks like a brand new building!

  24. Well, that looks like a fun afternoon. It seems like your truck was a big help in getting you to reach the tough spots and properly overhaul your new found building to your liking. I think trucks are great helpers in people with business, not only with transportation but for physical purposes as well. Good luck!
