The Creative Closet || Classic Black

10.14.2014
Helloooooo there ladies! Today I'm traveling home from Charleston where I completely let go, relaxed, ate my weight in delicious food and wore make-up a total of once (and that proof is below). More on our babymoon later, but for now let's get to some Creative Closet goodness. I sure hope y'all are loving this link-up as much as I am.

How fabulous do Jana and Rachel look? Make sure to visit their blogs to see their complete, detailed looks.

Classic black can be versatile in so many different areas of our wardrobe. Work, casual, ladies night out. I chose to focus my outfit around a date night with the hubs since it was our babymoon and all. This dress is one of the most comfortable and forgiving dresses I own. Chevron is not only a classic pattern, but a slenderizing pattern as well. It creates an illusion with your eyes taking the focus off of "trouble" areas. Adding a small, slenderizing belt just below the bust only compliments the pattern creating a slimming effect. I'm all for that with this growing bump :)

Dress: Small, local boutique || Wedges: Charming Charlie || Bag: Coach || Earrings: iCraveJewels
I chose to pair my dress with a basic black pump and my favorite nude tote to keep it minimal, and well, classic.

What do you think about chevron? Is it a staple in your closet?

We have some more great themes in que for October so make sure to come join us :) The more the merrier!

Make sure to link up on one of our blogs on Tuesday and share this button below so we can all feel the love and spread Creative Closet joy! It's a thing you know.
