The Diaper Bag

12.10.2014

Traditional diaper bags aren't my thing. I knew early on I was going to have to search for something practical and functional, but still stylish. When I came across this tote from Francesca's I was sold! It is the perfect size to be functional. Not to mention the lining is still girlie, but could pass as a little boy's diaper bag. And I can carry it as a great tote once it's no longer serving as a diaper bag. Winning, ladies!

I purchased this insert off Amazon and it fit perfectly into the bag and really added to the functionality with tons of pockets and spaces to put all those necessities. This is really the type of diaper bag I can have a little "mommy bag" in with my keys, phone, lipstick and debit card to still have my necessities without an armful of bags.

Another baby purchase checked off the list! Now I just need to know what on earth to put into my diaper bag?

Moms, ladies, help this new momma out. What would you recommend I put in Maddox's diaper bag as a newborn?

  4. Cute! Love that you aren't using a traditional frumpy bag. There really is no need with that great insert!

  5. What a great idea! You definitely need to keep a few extra outfits, ziploc bags/waterproof lined bags for the dirty stuff, and some extra toys and pacifiers. I always have a few bottles of hand sanitizer as well. Besides the normal diapers, wipes, butt cream, etc.

  6. A very smart idea :) I am getting a petunia pickle bottom diaper bag. I have a toddler and I will have a baby, gonna need a bigger bag LOL. Keep a change of clothes for you and for the baby in there at all times, you'll need them

  7. This is a chic diaper bag and I've seen many that are sometimes big and bulky. My friends would love this post. Very nice

  8. I love it!! I'm currently registered for a Skip Hop diaper bag that kind of looks like a purse, but I'm loving this idea way more, haha! So resourceful and will be great for tucking a few of your things in there as well! :)

  9. I carried so many things that my baby boy didn't need at first! But my biggest recommendation is a second pair of clothes and socks! My little boy tends to only pee mid diaper change when we're in public and last night he had to wear wettish socks home because I couldn't let him go outside without socks when it was like 12 degrees out! Also, burp rags are always good to have!
