You know what I realized upon preparing for this week's prompt? I purchase patterns in tops, but not bottoms. It only made it that much easier to pick an outfit this week since I had so little to choose from, but I was surprised to learn that about myself. Once upon a time I had an adorable, yet impractical pair of floral heels I would have loved to base an outfit on, but I gave them away mid-pregnancy knowing I would probably never wear them again chasing a little dude around!
Speaking of little dude, Maddox decided to join us this week with his pattern on the bottom and top. That's right, over achiever. He told me to tell you he had a different diaper in mind, but he blew it out just before taking these pictures. Luckily he spared my clothes this time.

Jana makes me want to be pregnant again! She is rocking both style and comfort this week with her skinny legs! Jacqui is pulling off a Summer style I'm always nervous to try. Peaking the midriff, but she killed it! Make sure to visit each of there blogs to see their outfit details and leave them some love.
My featured blogger from last week's theme, East Coast Prep, is our co-host this week, Jacqui from Drink The Day. She looks all sorts of beach babe prep with her colored shorts, button up shirt, topsiders and a basic ball cap. I really think the hat and the topsiders completed the look. Visit Jana's blog to see her pick this week!

I'm excited for Tuesdays theme, LACE! I personally think "dainty" when I hear lace, but I'm excited to see all of your takes on the theme.

You look absolutely amazing!! Didn't you do a belly pic in the holy chic shirt? I loved it then! You're giving me lots of inspiration because I have similar pieces already in my closet. Score!
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely the most adorable mommy ever! I'm totally swooning over you and Maddox! I love the way you dressed your skirt down with a graphic tee and sneakers–totally the perfect summer "mommiform". :)
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit!
ReplyDeleteThese pics just make me smile, so cute! You look gorgeous and he's so stinking handsome.
ReplyDeleteSo, Bloglovin' needs to get it's act together because it hasn't sent me your last two posts. Grr! So frustrating. On a happier note, these pictures just make my heart sing. Maddox is the sweetest little guy, and I am cracking up about how he "blew out" his diaper that he really wanted to model for us. And, YOU - you look absolutely fabulous for being a new mommy.
ReplyDeleteWait, stop. Not only is your outfit completely on point, but little M is totally kicking some creative closet (diaper covered) butt this week too! And Jana is absolutely right - your glasses are adorable :)
ReplyDeleteAh, this is SUPER mom-chic. So comfortable and practical yet stylish - patterned bottoms are handy for that, since you can do just the most basic ones but take the outfit up a notch with some stripes rather than just plain black... and that baby striped muscle tee is killing me!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love that top, super cute! And you look amazing, great skirt :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute!! I love your skirt. Honest is the best company. I use some of their lotions, even the belly balm that's meant for pregnant mamas.. I'm not preggo.. .but it works GREAT! I'm getting ready to gift some Honest goodies at a baby shower in just a few minutes actually! XO -Alexandra

I'm the same way! I rarely buy patterns to wear on bottom, but I'm eyeing some leopard print vans so maybe I'll have to try this again if I get them!
ReplyDeleteYou two are the cutest!! I seriously love you in glasses, so perfectly chic! I had the same struggle this week - I think I only have one patterned skirt and I used it in a post a couple of weeks ago so I had to get creative haha. You look so incredible (in general and in this outfit) & your little man's smile makes me want to melt!
ReplyDeleteYou are seriously too cute! Motherhood looks so great on you, he is just perfect! I love your shirt too, I may have to pick one up!
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute! So is your little man!! :D
ReplyDeleteWell I think you and Maddox both look adorable in your patterns on bottom :) Your diaper comment made me laugh too (only because I've so been there!) Glad your little guy could get in on some of the picture taking action--he's a doll!
