Apparently I like to wear white and pink - I mean, it's classic. This outfit is still a favorite of mine!

You may have seen last night on Instagram I mentioned our mini getaway was rained out. We left for Asheville on Wednesday and roamed the town, ate delicious food, had ice cream for dinner and enjoyed the beautiful weather goofing off with Maddox. But then we woke up yesterday to 100% of thunderstorms and rain and a nasty sky outside so we decided it was too much to lug Maddox around in that. So we headed home and made it a staycation. We got back on the house work train and worked more in our living room. All I have left to do is hang some pictures and I'll be ready to reveal our new room! It's a drastic change and I'm pretty pumped about it. It feels so refreshing! Next up, our master bedroom. Now I'm just hoping we can keep this momentum for awhile because I thrive off productivity and I love seeing our house finally start coming together!

Have a safe and happy 4th, my friends!

PS. Thank you all for all of your sweet comments lately. I promise I have read them and smiled - I'm sorry I haven't responded. It seems like we are always on the go and after working on the house late almost every night, I start snoozing on the couch and then walk like a zombie to bed. But I wanted you to know I'm grateful and I enjoy hearing from you!

  6. I love the print on this blouse! It would be perfect for transitioning from work wear to casual wear. I really want to start incorporating more prints in my wardrobe but I'm so picky about what I think I'll actually wear! I had a staycation last week myself and even though it doesn't feel like a typical vacation it was still nice to have some time to relax and explore the city!
