Being a mom just keeps getting better and better.
If you follow me on Instagram you've already seen these pictures, but I wanted to do a little recap of life lately here on the blog.
If you haven't noticed already, it's Tuesday so I should be here sharing my Creative Closet look, but the weather hasn't been cooperating the last few days so I wasn't able to get pictures taken. Head over to see what Jana, Rebecca and all the other fabulous ladies put together for this weeks theme though because it's a good one!
It's been raining cats and dogs for days now (including the 4th of July) and I'm just ready to see the sun shine again. It has however given Jon and I a reason to be stuck indoors working on our home makeover! Now that I am loving! We are on such a roll that I'm too scared to stop or else we will loose our momentum. We've been pushing in late (1am) nights after I put Maddox down pretty frequently painting, rewiring, breaking down, setting up, etc and I'm excited to say it's coming together. We are still living in chaos and a huge mess, but I'm ignoring that and trying to remind myself, "this too shall pass". Just like everything else in life :)
Other than crazy amounts of housework we've been enjoying Summer from the lake and loving every minute of it. Seeing Maddox and his reactions to everything for the first time is seriously priceless. He loves being at the lake and reaaaaly loves riding on the boat! He smiles when Papa drives faster and then about falls asleep in his life jacket every single time.
We've also been attempting to run a few days a week in preparation for a half marathon at the end of this year. I'm not quite sure I'm into this whole running thing, but I do love the fact that it means we are together as a family outside enjoying the weather. If that means I have to whine, sweat and ache to do so, this lady is in! Besides, Maddox loves riding in the jogging stroller so much. If he isn't sleeping he is staring up at the sky and trees.
This little guy has been changing so much right before my eyes. I just can't believe how charasmatic he is becoming. His personality is starting to really make an appearance and I just love it. He giggles when you do something silly, he gets excited when Jon walks in the door after work (swoon), he snuggles under my chin when he's tired. Gah - being a mom y'all... it's seriously my calling. I LOVE IT!
