The Creative Closet || Metallics

7.21.2015

Since I went with such a casual, laid back look last week I wanted to step it up and do something more glam this week. I wore this to church and it turns out that these heels are not meant to be worn with a baby in tow. I need more... stability. They may have to be moved to the "date night only" section along with all my rompers (impossible to b-feed in).

Metallic makes me think "edgy" and that's not really my style so when I saw this prompt I knew I wanted to create a girly look and change my perspective on metallic. This top from one of my favorite stores PinkBlush Boutique was perfect! Scalloped edges are a favorite of mine right now. They add just the perfect touch of girly detail that I love in an outfit and I chose to pair it with a pair of hot red skinnies (keeping with the edgy feel) and a turquoise drop necklace bringing back a girly vibe.

Does "metallic" initially make you think rocker? Maybe I'm thinking Metallica?

What a gorgeous color on Jana! Oh my word. I love that she paired metallic with a pastel pink! Kari also added her metallic in her purse and she edged up her outfit a bit balancing the three of us out! Make sure to visit their blog's to see their entire looks.

I love how gorgeous and glowing Jalyssa looks in her $1 thrift store dress! Isn't that amazing?!

Next week it's all about your SUMMER SANDALS. Show us your favorite pair and how you style them.

  2. Love that outfit! I'm really into scalloped edges on clothing too. I have a pair of shorts like that and they're so cute. Those shoes are gorgeous too, the metallic cap on the end makes them so edgy and fun. Loved linking up!
