New month, new blogger?
I've felt sort of "stuck" lately. I
sit down to blog and the words just won't come. And then it turned into
the thought of blogging giving me a slight panic attack so I didn't even
open my computer. Seriously, I haven't checked my email in two weeks
and now the red bubble number is well into the hundreds and I'm
twitching even more. I've let so much go that I've been struggling with
where to start to fix it all. But I do have a plan so stayed tuned. I'll talk more on that tomorrow.

I've been dying to break out this faux leather moto jacket I got from a
sale at forever21. They had it for $21 and I just couldn't pass it up. I really love a fitted jacket or blazer.
Royal blue is such a lovely color on Jana. I love how classic and timeless wearing a monochromatic dress is. Ashleigh looks like a modern 50's chic in her polka dots. Visit their blogs for full details.
The temperature dropping has me daydreaming of Fall although we are not quite there yet. So that's really the only part of this outfit that isn't practical just yet, but I couldn't stand keeping it hidden in my closet any longer. You will see plenty more of it over the next few months.
To transition
this look completely for Fall or Winter I would swap the sandals for
ankle booties, exchange the tank for a light weight sweater and add a
scarf. To make it practical for now I would just need to loose the
jacket. It's been in the 70's so lightweight jeans and a tank are pretty
comfy all day.
I'm obsessed
with monochromatic looks. They are so classy if you ask me and you don't
have to neglect your sense of style to create a monochromatic look.
Meaning you can do this in a punk/rock style, business/dressy, girly
girl, etc. You can make a monochromatic look reflect who you are and
even in your favorite color. I typically go to neutrals when creating
these looks because I tend to have more options in my closet, but I
think it would be so fun to create a bold, colorful monochromatic look
like this one here or here! Aren't they fun?
Are you already starting to daydream about your Fall wardrobe?

Gray definitely looks great on you girl! Love the detail on the neckline of the top too, so pretty! A good monochromatic look is perfect for any occasion!

ReplyDeleteThis outfit is amazing!! I'm totally obsessed with the grunge type look with your short hair! That jacket is such a great colour. I could see it working all the way into spring since it's not too dark either. P.S. You picked the perfect location to shoot these photos!
