If I Didn't Have Kids...

5.11.2016
This post is going to sound insensitive or maybe give you the feeling you should call the law on me and have my child (and unborn child) taken away. But don't worry, there's no need. I don't daydream about life with no children. In fact, I dream of life with more of them and sometimes I have no clue how that's possible? Being a mother is my absolute favorite job in the entire world!

And if you are still worried start with number 10.

If I didn't have kids...

1. I could drink hot coffee.

2. Eat without scarfing my food down for fear my child will take it from me.

3. Pee solo.

4. Wear white whenever the heck I wanted to.

5. I would have all my work done before the weekend because I wouldn't be fitting in my to-do list of 1,458,896,132 things to do during nap time each day. And forget working once they're in bed. I'm already half asleep as I close the nursery door.

6. I wouldn't have "M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E" in my head when I get into the shower at night.

7. I wouldn't know what it's like to wipe snot from a tiny human's face with my hand nonchalantly.

8. I would choose a restaurant I actually want to eat at rather than basing my decision off of who has a kid-friendly atmosphere.

9. Do what I want, when I want on, my own schedule.

10. If I didn't have kids... life would feel empty, incomplete and I would have a huge gaping hole in my heart.

Sweet baby #2, I love you too!

  2. Totally agree! There are a few things that I miss from my "before kids" days, but there are more things I love about being Mom. I actually posted about this today, weird!

  4. So sweet! You are a fantastic mother, so your children are incredibly blessed to have you and for all the "sacrifices" that you've made for them. :)

  8. Wearing white without worry seems like a dream! I can't decide if cleaning the little handprints filled with love, memories and dirt all over my cute white outfit is really worth wearing white.

  9. Such an honest and sweet post. Oh the things we'd do if we didn't have kids. They're nothing in comparison to the things we'd miss.
